Events

The programs of the American Red Cross are made possible by the financial support of the American people. The Public Support Department of the Upstate South Carolina Chapter is responsible for raising funds in addition to United Way support. Each year funding is provided through revenue generated from various special events.

• March 12,2010 - Young Ambassadors CPR Social
  The Young Ambassadors - a group of young and energetic people
  who are committed to promoting the Red Cross mission,
  enhancing their personal development, and serving their community - invite you to an evening of fun, food and music from 7 - 9pm at the Innovate Building.  Email to register or for more details.

• March 13, 2010 - CPR Saturday
  Different locations for each county
  This 3 hour course will teach you what to do in case a heart-related emergency arises in an adult.  The cost is only $10.00 per person.   Preregistration at your local American Red Cross office is required.

• March 14, 2010 - Red Sunday
  Participating churches in Pickens County are working with the local Red Cross to raise awareness among parishioners about the American Red Cross and its mission.  For more information or to register your church for this event contact Sarah Dow at 878-0131.

• March 19 & 20, 2010 - Spanish Touching Lives Tours

• March 20, 2010 - Red Tie Affair
  Come "Boogie on the Bayou" at The Farmer's Market in Anderson. Special guest speaker Lt General Russel L. Honoré.

• March 27, 2010 - Soneros Club Benefit
  Soneros Latin Night Club will hold a benefit for the American Red Cross.  5115 Wade Hampton Blvd, Taylors SC 29687.

• March 31, 2010 - 12th Annual American Red Cross Pickens County Golf Tournament.
  Smithfields Country Club in Easley.  Call 878-0131 for information, to sponsor or register.

• April 17, 2010 - Spanish CPR Saturday

  Este curso de la Español-lengua de 3 horas le enseñará qué hacer en caso de que una emergencia corazón-relacionada se presente en un adulto. El coste es solamente $10 por persona. El preregistro en su oficina americana local de la Cruz Roja se requiere.
