All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the Upstate South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross. The funds enable us to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

Some American Red Cross programs are supported in part by the United Way. The Public Support Department is responsible for raising funds in addition to United Way support. It does this through special events, direct mail, major gifts, and grants.

There are many ways to invest in the Upstate South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross that will serve you and your community during your lifetime, as well as provide a continuing legacy for future generations.

Charitable gifts are a vital part of American culture and play an important role in the lives of many. Charitable gifts need not compete with other personal goals and they may, in fact, help you achieve personal planning priorities in ways you might not have thought possible. The Development staff at the Upstate South Carolina Chapter is available to consult with you or your advisors about how to include the Red Cross in your estate plan and other giving opportunities.
